We come all this way to go to...Walmart?!?!?!

Greetings from Zhengzhou, capital city of Henan Province! I teared up as our plane was descending because we are finally here! Not just the same country as our little man, but the same area, and in 14ish hours, the same hotel room!!!

Speaking of the hotel room, there is a little crib ready and waiting next to one of the beds. It's sooooo cute!!! We have a little more space in this hotel room which is nice and since we are here for seven nights, I got to unpack and reorganize, or as a friend of an adopting mom along for the trip said, I was nesting :)

Our flight here was a little over an hour and felt like nothing compared to 13 hours. We flew with four of the five families we've been with the past few days and will meet back up with the fifth family next week when we're in Guangzhou (they had to go north for Gotcha Day with their son).  Our group found our new agency guide right away and got on the bus. As I looked out the window, we were definitely not in Beijing anymore as all I saw was farm land and very small houses.  And then, ten minutes later, we were in a "medium sized" city (by Chinese standards) of 8 MILLION people!

Our guide said she had the itinerary for us for our week here and a questionnaire the orphanage filled out on our little ones!! Of course she passes that out second. ;) I was jumping out of the bus seat to learn more about Brayden!!!! Benson's Great Wall little buddy was sitting next to him and I practically ripped the update from Benson's hand over the seat :) he has two roommate friends, sits on his own, stands if you hold him, and he is a cute baby who smiles a lot....did God choose this perfect boy for us or what?!??!? Food is the same, but no formula. It was silent on the bus as we all devoured our updates. Then our guide explained we would be meeting three other families at the hotel and five families would travel to the registration office at 9:30 tomorrow and the other two families would have their babies delivered to the hotel later. Guess which group we are? We've waited this long, so what's another two hours?  She said we can come with and help take pics/video for their Gotcha Days and then they'll repay the favor back at the hotel for us so I told them they better not forget about us :)

Got to the hotel, grabbed lunch, one person from each family exchanged money while the other unpacked, got gifts together and paperwork for tomorrow, and then we trekked to Walmart. There were eleven of us roaming this Walmart and if we had had reality cameras following us (and the reactions from everyone), we probably would have had high ratings :) so our last night as a family of two was spent at Walmart and then eating a Pizza Hut cheese pizza (another episode on our new reality show) in our hotel room and unpacking everything we bought for Brayden....that we know of. Diapers and possibly shoes will be bought on our return trip :)

I can't believe tomorrow is Gotcha Day!!!!! I have so many thoughts swimming around that I don't even know what to think. It's been a long time in the making, but there is no doubt in my mind that this is where we are supposed to be! Prayers please for our little Brayden as everything he knows gets turned around!!!
